Custom Orders vs. Design Suggestions
I offer two ways for you to share your ideas: Custom Orders and Design Suggestions. Understanding the difference will help ensure I understand your request and can respond accordinlgy.
Custom Orders
A Custom Order is a personalised, one-of-a-kind lamp made specifically for you. This option is ideal when:
-
You want something highly specific or meaningful.
-
The design includes personalisation, such as a name, initials, date, or custom imagery, like your business logo.
-
You want the finished lamp to be exclusively yours.
Custom orders require more time and collaboration, so there is a non-refundable design fee and deposit. Once complete, the design is not reproduced or resold—it’s made just for you.
If this sounds like what you’re after, Submit a Custom Order Request Here.
Design Suggestions
A Design Suggestion is a creative idea you’d like to see brought to life—something you think would make a great lamp design, even if it’s not exclusively for you. For example:
-
A well-known location similar to my Nova Scotia scene designs (Peggy’s Cove, Halifax Harbour, etc), but one I have not yet created.
-
A theme, animal, or other scene, for example “a traditional dutch windmill” or “a penguin on a boat” and
-
You don’t want to be involved in the design process, you just want to see what I come up with.
If I decide to create the design you’ve suggested, and you wish to purchase it you are absolutely welcome to do so—though you’re under no obligation to buy it. However the design is not exclusively for you and can be offered for sale to others.
If this sounds more like what you had in mind, Submit a Design Suggestion here.
